The Selecon 80V DMX Power System is the first DMX-controlled lower voltage power supply with the capability to drive a 1200W load, available for use with a variety of luminaires. The advantages of tungsten halogen light sources are now readily available to our industry, and the opportunity for capital and running cost savings are signficant, reducing the requirement for installed dimmers and increasing the versatility of such luminaires.
Combining this high frequency power supply with a 1200W 80V lamp delivers the light output of a traditional mains voltage 2.5 / 2.0kW profile from the Selecon Pacific range, while Selecon's Rama 175 High Performance Fresnel delivers a beam with the appearance of a 2000W Fresnel: just as much light on stage but with a 40-50% reduction in energy consumption.
