George Van Buren was the sales manager of Sicodim, which developed Memo-Q (1968) – the company was bought by the Rank Organisation in 1970 when they also acquired Century Lighting Inc.
He then went on to found Van Buren Industries in 1971, which developed the Sweet Sixteen, the first real computer lighting control system.
