The star of the show is the titular bear, who elicits an audience reaction of wonder and delight when he first appears. The illusion of life is complete, and this is a beautifully careful and rehearsed performance between an actor inside the costume, and an actor offstage, providing the voice and operating the mouth and other facial expressions. The puppet maker (Tahra Zafar) deserves many accolades as well.

Additionally, a new compact unit was developed for the show by LD Neil Austin and GLP. The GLP X5 Dot can shift between 10-40 degrees with perfect colour mixing.
