Removing Components from TV sets

It can be dangerous to break or remove components from older CRT TV equipment, so if you want a television 'shell', it's best to approach a local TV repair store to safely carry out the removal and to dispose of the components safely afterwards. If the TV set is facing away from the audience, you can insert a standard LED luminaire into the shell to produce a flickering blue/white light (not too bright) to give the effect of light from the TV set.
