Late 1800s 

Empress Theatre built to house spectacular entertainments. 

The theatre was stripped out in 1915 for wartime use, and was then returend to use in 1935 when it housed ice spectacles with seating for 7000 people around an ice rink. 

In 1958 a Strand Light Console was installed (90 ways), until the theatre was demolished in 1958 

1887 - 2014

Exhibition Centre (Rebuilt in 1937) - Art Deco building used for massive events including trade shows, motor shows, live music and sporting events.

1962: Motor Show

1980s

Earls Court 2 is constructed, behind the existing Exhibition Hall. It was officially opened by Diana, Princess of Wales in 1991.

2015 - present

Demolition

March 30 2023 - February 1 2024: BBC Earth

Housed in a temporary building known as The Daikin Centre, Empress Place, Earl's Court, SW6 1TT

2025: Empress Museum constructed to house Come Alive! The Greatest Showman performances in a big top setting.
