Galaxy 2 Studio offers a different playback and a new program, for the special needs of TV. Emphasis is placed on facilities to assist with the spontaneous control decisions required in TV studios, which include enhanced recording and channel control features, and the need for more detailed information available on the control panel.

Strand's Galaxy 2 range of modular memory control systems for theatre has been expanded further by new development and facilities.

Galaxy 2 Arena, devised for theatres, nightclubs, concert halls and conference centres provides comprehensive facilities and a choice of submaster options, remote controls, and back-up systems in an easy to operate format. Control of up to 768 dimmers is now achieved either by a conventional analogue multicore system, or in a recently developed multiplex form.

Galaxy 2 Premier extends the facilities of Arena to include more subtle and sophisticated lighting control required by the world's lighting designers working in major theatres and opera houses. Premier offers instant access to multipart fades, enhanced channel control power, extended memory and recording options, recorded fade profiles and the ultimate in programmable special effects.

A new playback, and an expanded channel control now provide the largest theatres with the frequently requested button mimic, automatic processional fades, access to separate parts of a multipart fade, recordable wait and delay times, recordable fade types, alpha keyboard memory editing, and the unique "fade profile" facility which copies the operators execution on a manual or auto fade, including any change of speed, direction or profile, for accurate reproduction during the performance.
