Lightboard M: 24 submasters, 24 channels
96 channels with 24 or 48 submasters, or 144 channels with 24 submasters with channel faders.
Developed by Strand in North America. First used on one of the pavilions at EXPO 1986 in Vancouver (May - October 1986).
AMX (USA) or D54 (Europe) Multiplex output.
One playback with timed crossfader, another with manual or timed crossfader. Integral floppy disc library storage. Colour VDU.
User interface developed by a team including Anne Valentino (see USITT 2010 video). Anne states in the video that around 450 were sold in advance before they were able to start shipping functioning consoles. 200 were sold before the software interface was working. Anne designed the software interface, using the existing hardware specification and buttons that had already been designed.
