Series 200 Wash Luminaire
Each Series 200 luminaire - the VL2 spot luminaire and the VL3 wash luminaire - is individually fitted with a microprocessor, enabling high level two-way data communication with another new product, the Artisan control console.
VL3 along with VL2 were heavily used on the Genesis Live at Wembley Stadium in 1987. The VL3 has a distinctive square beam exit which makes it recognisable. (information from Chris Griffith on Facebook).
Most VL3s were converted into VL2b units. The remainder were converted into prototype VL3 Arc units, which were not developed further.

See Paul Pelletier's website for more photos of VL instruments
