It may seem like one of the main duties of the stage management team is to consume stationery. There is a very good reason for that.
The success of a show, and the wellbeing of the crew and company, is based on organisation.
The keystone for this is the Prompt Book (aka Show Bible) which contains everything required by the DSM during rehearsals, and during the running of the show.
During rehearsals, the team produce Rehearsal Schedules, Rehearsal Calls and Rehearsal Notes.
During Tech Rehearsals, Running Plots are produced for flys and ASMs (etc.)
Sign-In Sheets are also drawn up for performance days, listing cast, crew, orchestra etc.
After each performance, a Show Report (or Performance Report) should be produced.
